Do You Suffer From Cyberphobia

What is Cyberphobia?

Fear of computers or working on a computer.

Several studies have shown that this is a very real risk and for this reason some clinicians have tried combining pharmacological treatment with psychological behavioural therapy. It appears that combined therapy is generally more effective than drug treatment alone.

However, there is also little evidence that combined therapy is superior to psychological therapies on their own. Given the undoubted problems attached to taking potent psychotropic drugs, it would seem that these should continue to be used very cautiously in the treatment of phobias and only in the most severely affected patients. Hence psychological therapies provide the best form of treatment for the great majority of phobic people.
