What is Nyctophobia?

Nyctophobia - Fear of the dark or of night.

Running for Nyctophobia

It is important to check fitness before starting a running programme. In particular, it is a good idea for dllyone who has a family history of heart disease or who has been recently ill to have a doctor's checkup just to make sure that running is a safe activity lor them.

Runners who can run for half an hour or so without stopping, often experience a kind of euphoria known as 'runner's high', which is one of the reasons that running is such a good tool for anyone seeking relaxation in the deepest sense of the word. Having run until their legs are beginning to feel heavy and breathing is hard, many runners suddenly feel as if they could run on and on.

Perceptions are heightened and, as the mind clears, problems are seen in their proper perspective. This does not happen during every run, but it is an experience well worth working towards.
